A fantastic base
When the owner brought us his car for some updates it was a very solid driving vehicle.
Work begins
Work began by stripping the car of it's trim, glass and interior
A little less mud
Once the trim was off the car we identified a couple areas with large amount of body work, like the driver side quarter panel.
Just a skim coat
So a new replacement quarter panel was put onto the car. Now it should only need a skim-coat of body work before paint.
Never a better time
Now was the time to add any custom touches the customer had dreamed of, so we filled many of the factory areas of the firewall for a smooth appearance.
Just a dash of fab work
The dash of this car had been badly mangled and stitch welded back in at some point. We decided to find a new dash and fabricate a new flange for it to attach to.
A solid platform
With the new flange welded in place all we needed to do were cut in the defrost vent holes and install the replacement dash.
Sounds good
The package tray had been mangled previously as well so some quick repair pieces were welded in.
Fresh Paint
With the car back from paint the fun work can begin... final assembly time!
A tidy package
A brand new GM Performance ZZ-383 crate motor dressed by Rods R Us mated to an ATO built 700R4 will provide reliable and formidable performance to this ride.
Like a glove
Assembly continues.
Assembly continues
Sheet metal is hung with a new polished combo core support, fresh chrome and polishing by Classic Chrome is starting to fill in the blanks along the way. Most of the hand made plumbing and an American Autowire wiring harness has been installed.
